WORKSHOP Power Award winner Micheldever Tyre Services has landed a major contract with JCT600.
The Hampshire company’s vehicle maintenance agreement (VMA) division, which has supplied tyres to the family-run JCT600’s Volkswagen Group dealers for more than four years, will now also provide tyres for its 10 Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley and Mercedes dealers.
It won the prestigious title of Tyre Supplier of the Year at Workshop’s inaugural Power Awards, which were held earlier this month at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.
Tim Peacock, head of the VMA division, said: ‘I think there are a number of reasons why we’ve won this contract. First and foremost, JCT600 likes the work we are doing with its Volkswagen Group dealers, where tyres had been placed at the heart of customer satisfaction, along with retention, and wanted us to bring that experience and expertise to other parts of its business.
‘For us to service the Volkswagen Group element and now these new parts is testament to what we are doing with the vehicle manufacturer programme. Our value-added approach means we are in a great position to understand the needs and requirements of our customers, which in turn results in a superior service.’
JCT600 financial analyst Sam Tordoff, who is also a BTCC racing driver for Team JCT600 with GardX, said: ‘As a family-run business we have very strong values so we want to work with partners that not only do a great job, but also share our values and ethos. The fit and feel of working with Micheldever was right for us and it’s a wholesaler that really understand our business needs.’
