FAB Recycling has appointed Industry Insights managing director Steve Thompson to its board.
The Cinderford-based company, which was established in 1991 and specialises in green OE vehicle parts, said the bodyshop professional had a wealth of collision repair industry knowledge and experience.
Jason Cross, managing director of FAB Recycling Ltd, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Steve on to the board as non-executive director at this exciting time as we expand. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the automotive sector at board level, which will without doubt help to strengthen FAB’s position as a leader in the supply of green reclaimed vehicles parts in the UK.
‘Steve shares our belief that our customers deserve the very best in parts quality and service delivery, and his passion for this is equal to our own.’
Industry Insights provides business consultancy services within the automotive and motor insurance sectors, and Cross added that Thomson’s calibre, drive and commitment would enhance the development of green parts supply throughout the UK’s crash repair and insurance industries.
Thompson, pictured, said: ‘FAB’s approach to sourcing vehicles, breaking, cataloguing parts, storage and distribution is first class and market leading when compared with similar distribution models in any market.
‘The quality of the product is exceptional and supported by next-day UK delivery, which makes their proposition very strong and a genuinely viable option for OE parts procurement. This is exactly why we have been working with FAB as our Green Parts partner for the past year. I am now very pleased to join the board at FAB as non-executive director and I am looking forward to assisting in driving forward FAB’s future growth strategy.’
