A NINE-BAY workshop forms part of a jobs-creating Porsche Centre that has been opened by dealer group JCT600.
Based just off the A66 near Stockton-on-Tees, it will complement centres in Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle, serving customers across County Durham, North Yorkshire and the north-east of England.
The eight-month redevelopment, which has culminated in a 35,707 sq ft showroom, also offers a four-wheel alignment bay, MOT area and ‘driver assist’ calibration bay, plus a Porsche Direct Dialogue bay supporting quick, on-the-spot diagnoses.
The centre will offer the full range of Porsche services including servicing, parts and a service loan fleet. Local delivery and collection will also ensure any servicing or repairs are conducted with minimal inconvenience to customers, it says.
JCT600 chief executive John Tordoff said: ‘We are pleased to have been able to find this high-profile, accessible location. The new Porsche Centre is a stunning building featuring a double-height Direct Dialogue bay in the centre of the showroom with a glass viewing area on the mezzanine level enabling customers to view their vehicles as work is discussed.
‘The arrival of such a prestigious business has also had many benefits for the region, including creating around 20 new jobs already, with more likely as the business grows.’
