Euro Car Parts launches new video platform for workshops

EURO CAR PARTS has launched a video platform for repairers, which will improve connectivity between the business and their clients.

The video system, called Viewmech, is designed for technicians who discover additional, urgent or advisory work on customer’s cars. The system allows the technician to film a short video and send it to the customer via a link, which will direct them to a branded landing page.

The Sign Up Kit for the project includes an Apple iPod Touch, which will allow technicians to run the video platform’s app and film the videos.

The app includes a dashboard, which will allow its users to add quotes, notes and review videos before sending them on to customers.

There are two subscription packages. The cheaper of which will allow up to 25 video uploads per month, while the Premium option will allow up to 150 uploads per month.

Euro Car Parts CEO Martin Gray said: ’65-70 per cent of franchised dealers are using personalised customer video software, but until recently the cost has been prohibitive for most independent repairers. Viewmech disrupts the market and puts this tool in the hands of the independents.

‘As well as boosting revenue, Viewmech can increase customer retention and help win new business. It is exactly the kind of affordable solution the sector needs.’

Viewmech has already been rolled out across the Euro Car Parts network, and early adopters are reporting up to 25 per cent more work conversions as a result.
