Auto Windscreens backs Ginetta Le Mans team

AUTOMOTIVE glazing company Auto Windscreens is to sponsor Manor’s Le Mans programme.

The pair of Ginetta G60-LT-P1 cars will wear the Auto Windscreens logo at this weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hours, where the all-new LMP1 class car will make its racing debut.

The 2018 race is the 86th running of the legendary endurance event and marks Ginetta’s second attempt at building a car for the top class of Le Mans after the Zytek-based 09s ran in 2009 and 2010.

The G60-LT-P1 is a rolling showcase of British engineering, with the likes of race car design expert Adrian Reynard, gearbox specialists XTrac and Williams Advanced Engineering all playing a part in creating the car built at Ginetta’s Yorkshire base.

Rupert Armitage, managing director of Auto Windscreens, said: ‘The Auto Windscreens brand has a long history of motorsport sponsorship and it’s great to continue this by supporting Ginetta. We’re proud to have our logo featured on their two incredible British-built cars and look forward to watching these in action. Good luck to everyone at Ginetta!’
