Service adviser Georgia wins through to Supermodel England 2018 national final

A MEMBER of the aftersales team at Jennings Motor Group is through to the Supermodel England national final after being crowned Top Model of Sunderland.

Georgia Mordey, 19, from Washington, works as a service adviser at the contact centre, where she is responsible for booking customers’ cars in for services and MOTs, in addition to advising customers and setting up service plans, as well as the company’s Jencare warranty package.

She started her career with Jennings Motor Group as an apprentice service adviser, and after 12 months of training while at work and ongoing assessments she became a fully fledged service adviser and was taken on the books full-time.

Mandy Hoyle, Mordey’s manager at the Washington-based centre, said: ‘We’re all absolutely delighted for Georgia. She is a very ambitious, dedicated and committed member of the team, and we’re all thrilled for her.

‘She has done exceptionally well to represent Sunderland and we would like to wish her every success in the forthcoming national final – it’s not every day you get to say you work with a supermodel!’

Mordey has always wanted to be a model, and at the age of 14 her dream came true when she started modelling for the fashion industry.

Over the past few years, she has also taken part in a number of competitions, including Miss Teen Great Britain. More than 3,000 contestants applied and Mordey won through to the last 60 contestants at the grand finals, which took place in Blackpool. She also took part in Miss Newcastle at the age of 16 and 17.

Mordey was officially crowned Top Model of Sunderland at a contest at the Sunderland Marriott Hotel. Part of the process included raising money for her chosen charity, The Foundation of Light. Bravely completing a sky dive, in addition to organising a fundraising day at Springwell Village Community Venue, she raised more than £700 for charity.

‘I was over the moon when I heard my name being called out,’ said Mordey. ‘It took a while to sink in at first but when it did it was a very proud moment, and all of my family were with me, which made it extra special.

‘I’m really looking forward to the final in November, but at the same time I’m a little bit nervous.’

The Supermodel England final is scheduled to take place at Barnsley, South Yorkshire, where she is in with a chance of being crowned World Supermodel England, or Top Model of England.
